Trust framework (open finance)
The shared directory, certificates and onboarding rules that let open finance participants identify and trust one another.
A trust framework is the shared infrastructure that lets participants in an open finance system identify each other and communicate securely. In the Central Bank of the UAE's Open Finance Regulation, it includes a participant directory for validating participants and managing identity and access, digital certificates that its operator mints, revokes and validates, an API portal holding the standards and business rules, and a sandbox for testing. Islamic institutions join the same framework as conventional ones, so the Shariah-specific parts of a product live in the data and contracts, not in the trust layer.

This entry explains a term; it is not a Shariah ruling. Approving a product is for each institution's own Shariah board and regulator.
